Hi everyone!
Como ya todos sabéis, ayer se celebraron los Globos de
Oro, y por allí se pasearon las estrellas del momento con sus maravillosos y no
tan maravillosos vestidos.
As you all know, yesterday the Golden Globes
awards were celebrated, and the stars of the moment walked on the red carpet
with their marvellous and not that marvellous dresses.
Michelle
Dockery
Empiezo con una de las que más me gustaron de
toda la gala.
La actriz de Downton Abbey estaba preciosa
con este diseño en blanco y oro de Alexandre Vauthier. El vestido, ajustado hasta
la cintura y con caída, realzaba su esbelta figura y le quedaba “como un guante”
Además, el pelo corto y con ondas le iba perfecto al cuello alto del vestido,
haciéndolo aún más elegante.
I'll start with one of my favourites.
The Downton Abbey
actress looked stunning with this design in white and gold by Alexandre
Vauthier. The dress, tight on the waist but with a loose fabric enhanced her
slim figure and fitted perfectly on her. Besides, the short hair style with the
waves was ideal to the turtle neck of the dress, making it even more elegant.
Kristen
Bell

Otra que también me gusto mucho fue Kristen Bell con su Jenny Packham en tonos perla y luciendo embarazo.
Peinado
sencillo, vestido clásico; simple pero efectivo.

one who really liked me was Kristen Bell with her Jenny Packham in pearl tones
and showing her pregnancy.
Easy
hairstyle, classic dress; simple but effective.
Hayden Panettiere
No se arriesgó mucho y lució un vestido palabra de honor
de corte sirena en color blanco de Roberto Cavalli. El vestido en sí me gusta,
pero la tela de la cola no termina de convencerme. La veo rara. No es fea ni
nada, pero me da la impresión de que rompe un poco la armonía del resto del
vestido. No sé, seguramente
seré sólo yo.
She didn’t risk that much and wore a strapless
fishtail white dress by Roberto Cavalli. The dress indeed likes me, but the fabric
of the tail doesn’t convince me that much. It is kind of weird. It is not ugly,
but I think it breaks a little the harmony of the rest of the dress. I don’t
know, it is probably just me.
Lea Michelle
Adoro a esta chica, pero es
verdad que últimamente no acertaba mucho con sus looks. Sin embargo, me gustó
cómo fue ayer.
Optó por un vestido de
apertura lateral (algo por lo que apostaron muchas) en color blanco y con
pedrería de Elie Saab ¿Y qué mujer no está perfecta con un Elie Saab? Es una
apuesta casi segura. Además, los tonos claros le van genial a su bronceado tono
de piel.
I adore this girl, but it is
true that she hasn’t been very wise in her looks lately. However, I like how
she went yesterday.
She opted for a split dress
(something very common on the red carpet yesterday) in white tones and with
jewels by Elie Saab. And what woman doesn’t look great in an Elie Saab dress?
It is a very safe option. Besides, the light colors go perfect with her tan
skin tone.
Taylor Swift
No me voy a detener mucho en ella porque odié cómo fue.
Llevó un vestido de un color entre el morado y el vino de Donna Karan.
No
es que el vestido fuera feo (que también) pero es que ese color y esa forma no
le quedan nada bien a Taylor. Y el peinado tampoco le favorecía mucho.
Mejor
que vuelva a sus vestidos de niña-buena-que-no-ha-roto-un-plato-en-su-vida. Son su
especialidad.
I’m not
going to talk a lot about her because I really hated how she went. She wore a
Donna Karan dress in a color between purple and wine.
It is not
that the dress was ugly (but it was ugly) but that color and that shape didn’t
look good on her. And the hairstyle either.
It is
better for her to come back to her
I’m-a-good-girl-who-has-never-done-anything-bad dresses. She’s an expert on
them.
Adele
Sencilla y fiel a su estilo,
lució un vestido negro y ajustado debajo del pecho (muy acertado para su tipo
de cuerpo) de Burberry.
Me alegró mucho que ganara el
Globo de Oro (información sin importancia)
Simple and true to her
style, she wore a black dress, thigh just below her breast (perfect for her body
type) by Burberry.
I’m happy she won the Golden
Globe (just some pointless information)
Rachel Weisz
A decir verdad, al principio
su vestido no me gustó nada. Pero luego, tras haber visto fotos desde
diferentes ángulos, le he cogido algo de cariño.
Las transparencias con lunares
(me recuerdan a un vestido del H&M de hace unas temporadas) le dan un toque
original y llama la atención entre tanto vestido largo.
Y ya si le añades que es un
Louis Vuitton y que se encargó del estilismo Louise Roe (admiro mucho a esa
mujer) pues me termina de ganar del todo.
If I’m honest, at first I
didn’t like the dress at all. But then, after watching more photos from
different angles, I kind of got a little attached to it.
The polka dotted transparent
fabric (it remembers me to an H&M dress from a few seasons ago) makes it
more original and it calls the attention among all the long dresses.
And, if you add that the
dress is a Louis Vuitton and Louise Roe (I really admire this woman) was on
charge of the stylism, I end up loving it.

Lawrence
Con lo guapa y simpática que
es esta chica y lo mal que se le da posar.
De todas formas, fue guapísima
con su Dior de alta costura color rojo. Aunque tenía unos pliegues algo raros
en la parte del pecho que no terminaron de gustarme.
He leído también muchas
críticas por la falta de complementos, pero creo que es una buena forma de
darle más ligereza y juventud al look. Mejor pecar de falta de complementos que
de exceso.
Y, sí, también me alegró que
ella se llevará el Globo de Oro.
How beautiful and funny she
is and how bad she is at posing.
Anyway, she looked gorgeous
in her red Dior Haute Couture dress. Although, it had some weird folds on the
breast zone that I didn’t like.
I also read a lot of critics
about her lack of accessories, but I think it is a good way of making the look
lighter and younger. It is better to wear no accessories than to wear too much.
And, yes, I also was happy
that she won an award.

Ella no podia faltar en este
resumen.
Deslumbró con un sencillo
Chanel palabra de honor en color blanco.
Me encanta que fuera capaz de
demostrar que la sencillez nunca falla. Elegante y muy guapa con ese corte de

Y, por supuesto, su Globo de

She looked amazing with a
simple strapless Chanel dress in white.
I love the fact that she
were able to show that simplicity is always the way to go. Elegant and very
pretty with her new hairstyle (thanks to “Les Misérables”)
And, of course, her Golden
Globe to best actress were more than deserved.

I really like this girl on
the red carpet. It is not just that she looks great in almost all of them, but
that she knows how to pose and how to make the best of her dresses.
And bravo for her stylists,
because they know perfectly what colors and shapes look better on her. Or you
are going to tell me she doesn’t look stunning in that Oscar de la Renta dress
in coral tones.

Muy sexy y muy criticada por
enseñar mucho. Qué queréis que os diga, yo si tuviera ese cuerpazo también me
pondría ese vestido. Envidia cochina que tienen. Es del diseñador Zuhair Murad, por cierto.
Very sexy and very
criticized for showing too much. What can I say, if I had that body I would
wear that dress too. They are just jealous. The dress is by Zuhair Murad, by

Y, por último, el vestido más
criticado de la gala (o, al menos, uno de ellos)
Se trata de un vestido palabra
de honor en azul cielo con estampado de flores de Carolina Herrera.
La forma del vestido es
bonita. Es la típica de un vestido de gala. Lo que más ha dado que hablar es el
“difícil” estampado.
A mí al principio no me gustó
nada pero, si lo piensas, no está del todo mal. Se sale del típico estampado
que se ve en este tipo de galas. Es exagerado y, para que negarlo, algo feo. Pero
al menos no es lo mismo de siempre.
De todas formas, es de
entender que no sea del gusto de todos.
And last but not least, the
most criticized dress of the event (or, at least, one of them)
It is a strapless pale blue
dress with floral print by Carolina Herrera.
The shape of the dress is
nice. The typical shape of an event gown. What was criticized was the
“difficult” print.
I didn’t like it at the
beginning but, if you think about it, it is not that bad. It is different from
the typical prints that you can see on these kind of events. It is exaggerated
and, we are not going to denied it, ugly. But at least it isn’t the same as
always.
Anyway, I understand it is
not everyone’s cup of tea.
