Bye Bye High School!

Hi everyone!

He hecho amigos y he perdido amigos... He estudiado muchas cosas útiles para mi vida y otras muchas totalmente inútiles... He vivido experiencias nuevas, buenas y no tan buenas…

Hello my lovely followers! How are you all today? I hope you want to read because today I bring you a special post to celebrate that I FINALLY GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL! So, here we go!

WARNING: this post is longer than the usual because I decided to talk about the end of my high school stage and I got sentimental. If you’re looking for the pictures of what I wore to my prom yesterday (I’m pretty sure that’s what most of you are here for) you just have to scroll down a little more and you’ll find them.

Now, for all of you who decided to read me (you’re all sweethearts):

I wanted this post to be a little more different because, as corny as it sounds; graduating from high school means a big change for me.

I spent the last 5 years of my life in this high school; from 3º de la E.S.O (9th grade?) to 2º de Bachillerato (senior year?) (This last one coursed in two years...)

During these 5 years there have been happy and not that happy moments.

I made friends, I lost friends... I studied a lot of useful things and a lot of other useless things... I lived new experiences, some good and some not that good...

But, above all, I learned that you can't be afraid of make a mistake and that failing doesn’t mean you are worthless.

When I first started in high school, being 15 and being the typical good naive girl, quickly nicknamed as “the posh” (nickname that I still have), I had the idea of studying sciences to become a biologist and work at a zoo taking care of animals. How much things have changed since then...

I went from having amazing calcifications to normal calcifications. I went from wanting to be a biologist to wanting to work in the fashion world. I went from studying sciences to studying arts. I went from not being able to bear the idea of repeating my senior year to seeing it as an opportunity to focus and think about what I wanted to do in the future.

And I learned. Above all, I learned.

I learned that the people who you think are your best friends aren’t always that. But that, even if you don’t realize, there will always be people by your side that will never let you go and that will be always there no matter what.

I learned that the “I love you’s” must be demonstrated, not just said.

I learned that there are amazing people in this world that, no matter how much you screw things up, they will always find a way of forgiving you and let things go.

I learned that I have an incredible family that I know will always going to support me no matter what I decide to do. And that is a big relief.

And, above all, I learned that you can’t be afraid of failing. Because making mistakes is a human thing, and sometimes we only can learn from them.

That changes, even if they’re terrifying, can bring you opportunities that you never believed could be possible.

That you have to take the chance and say yes, even if you’re not sure what that will bring you.

And that life is very ironic and sometimes it turns things upside down so you can see that that thing you were so sure about can actually be wrong.

And, if I’m honest, at this moment I have no idea what am I going to do in the future. I don’t know if the next year I will be studying, making a course or working outside Spain.

But I know I want to dedicate myself to this. Fashion. Because it’s what I love and what brings me life.

And I don’t care if I end up working at a small magazine, writing articles about trends nobody cares about, or having my own bag collection and being famous, if I’m working in what I like. Fashion.

Because even the worst of the jobs can be the best if the person who does it is motivated about it.

And I know that, although now I’m very happy about it, I’m going to miss the high school.
Because life out there it’s not easy.

But now I just want to look forward and try to take all the chances that are presented to me.

Because at these difficult times you can’t be afraid of trying new things.

Finally, I want to thank all of you, my followers, the ones who pass by the blog, the ones who leave me comments, the ones who RT the links I put on Twitter, the ones who recommend me to your friends (or your enemies, at the end, it is publicity), the ones who tell me you like my style... all of you THANK YOU! Because, although there are not a lot of us, you all make me incredibly happy. And the fact of log in and see that I have a new follower… or a new comment… or just that the visits have increased, make my day and puts an smile in my face even when I’m not in my best days. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

And now, as I promised, I leave you with the photos of the outfit I wore yesterday to my graduation (I hope you didn’t get bored of this super long text)

Biker lady + DIY vest

Hi everyone!

I hope you're week is going well. Today I bring you the outfit I wore yesterday to go shopping with my friends.

It's a very comfortable outfit, and  the perfect look for these days with this changing weather where you don't know if put on a coat or shorts.

It makes me ilusion to tell you that the vest is a DIY. It was formerly an old denim jacket that I used to wear when I was a little girl. I cut it's sleeves and I dyed it with some bleach.
I think the DIY is a perfect idea to reinvent clothes that you no longer use anymore. In these crisis times it's very useful.

Falda/Skirt: H&M
Chaleco/Vest: DIY
Camiseta/T-shirt: El Corte Inglés
Pañuelo/Handkerchief: Misako
Biker boots: Mustang

I hope you liked today's outfit. Let me know in the comments.

Happy Birthday to... ME!

Hi everyone!

Today I bring you the outfit I wore yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my friends.
I went for a simple and comfy outfit because we were going to be at my home and I had to be sure everything was okay, so I would have to move a lot.

Is a very relaxed look because of the jeans and the wedges, but the black transparent shirt gives it a more elegant touch.

Finally, thank you so much to Raquel, Alicia, Eva, Adri, Salva, Alex, Alba, Miriam, Fany, Marta and Zaida for a marvellous and super funny afternoon (and for the presents too)
